I’m writing to you from my dark lounge, lit only by the light of a little emergency light that Elaine bought from Crazy Store a few years ago. That’s right, there’s a blackout, thanks to Eskom, that totally honest purveyor of electricity, that amazingly well-run organization that has good connections all over, especially Dubai and India. Lately their preferred suppliers of coal have moved on and live somewhere North of here and are practicing to speak Arabic.

Oh, you want to know about today’s results, don’t you.

I was watching the rolling screen today, which, by the way, wasn’t rolling, and up to the second last round there was nothing to choose between Diana and Vaun and the pair of Paul and Bridie. It was neck and neck, then, Paul and Bridie ran headfirst into Geoff and Pauline on a good day for them, and walked away with two zeros. Such is life, the ups and downs of this great game, say no more!

Congratulations to Diana and Vaun, therefore, with Helen and Barbara second, Paul and Bridie third.

I’m going now, because the batteries in my light and the laptop are doing an Eskom on me. Gooddnight all you happy people out there.
