Bridge Results 5 Jul 2018
It was just a little bit chilly today, wasn’t it? But the heater in the middle was burning brightly, so we were quite snug and playing bridge, so all was well. But, when I walked outside afterwards, the wind seemed to be straight out of the Antarctic and all I could think about was home and a warm supper. Enough, what about the results.
It seems to have been a one-horse race today (two-horse?), with Bill and Ros quite literally running away with it, with a magnificent score of 74%. Helen and Barbara were second, with Neels and Peter third.
The hands were straight-forward today, for us at least, but we found it difficult to find any game contracts. Maybe they all went to the opposition? Enough griping, Hayward, you just weren’t firing on all cylinders today and your partner couldn’t find the accelerator either!
Attached are the full results, so peruse them at your leisure and see where you should have done better.
Before I go, thinking about the cold wind from the Antarctic, did you know that the driest place on Earth is not the Atacama Desert in Chile, nor the Sahara, but the dry valleys of Antarctica, where the cold winds dry them out to the point that there is no moisture present.
OK, that’s it for today.
Have a good weekend everybody.
