Good evening to all you bridge people. I could have said ‘aficionados’ but then you might accuse me of trying to sound sophisticated, suave and all that stuff, No, no, I’m not like that, I’m just a ‘boykie’ from Benoni who loves to play bridge, that’s all.

A lovely, relaxed afternoon, eight and a half tables, no problems, well, almost no problems. But then, that’s life.

A solid performance from Margaret and Anne took them to first place, followed by Vanessa and Pat, then the two old guys who I’m too modest to mention by name, who sneaked into third place.

We were pleased to welcome a new player today, Brenda Blake, who is keen to find a regular partner for Thursday afternoons.Her contact numbers are as follows: Either 083 582 4530 or 083 302 9628.
