Before I get to the results of today’s exertions by all of us, let me share the following with you:

Of contracts that he bids only’

OK, I know that’s terrible, but it’s the best I can do after a perfectly friendly, but very unsuccessful afternoon of bridge. Apologies Ian, and I also accept yours, we just weren’t really there. Oh boy!

Thanks for letting me mourn what might have been, except for bad calls, bad defense, missed signals, poor judgment etc, etc.

Enough of that! How about today’s winners? How about the new partnership of Yvonne and Cherilyn !

That’s right! After we corrected the pair numbers on two boards, they emerged from their original fourth place, like the veritable Phoenix from the ashes and roared into first place by a short nose!
We’re delighted to see this new partnership doing so well and wish them all of the best going forward. Second place went to Bill and Ros, followed by Vanessa and Jill in third place.

Ian is now off to the South Coast for the next four months and we wish him a safe trip. We’ll just stay here and enjoy the fresh winter air and won’t envy him in the slightest, will we?
