I picked up hands with eight of a suit, several with seven and also ordinary hands with only six. Boy, there were some strange distributions! I’m bidding with seven, my partner has none, my left hand opponent has six! What!!

But let me just take the opportunity to thank our new member, Cathy Price, for a lovely, chilled game tonight, with no stress, no recriminations, so thanks Cathy. Very nice.

Well done to Bill and Jan for a good win, followed by Paul and Bridie in second place. They obviously enjoyed the really different hands and made the most of them.

Please let me have a response to my earlier email about Monday afternoon teams, so that we can get this going as soon as possible.
