It was cold tonight, but there were logs burning in the grate, we were snug in the ladies bar, so all was well.
Thanks to Hanneke for a very pleasant partnership tonight. We had our moments, but we also had our moments, you know what I mean.
So, guess what! Bridie and Paul came first, followed by Di and Barbara, followed by Bill and Jan. But don’t complain, all the rest of you, just because the same boring people are up there performing well, week after week.
Do something about it! Practice, read bridge books, access bridge sites on the internet, improve your partnership understanding, grow your skills.
I’ve said this before, so excuse me for repeating it, but consider the following statement;
Have you had 20,30,40 or more years experience of playing this game, or have you had one year’s experience 20,30,40 or more times?
There’s a difference.
Oh come on, Hayward, lighten up! They don’t want to be preached to. It’s only a game.
Really?
OK, OK, enough! Thanks again for playing this beautiful game and we’ll all be back for more, won’t we?
Roy
PS. Troy just doesn’t understand that I’m not going to take him walkies this time of night. Forget it!
