Last night I couldn’t send the results out, because the data had run out on the modem,the Standard Bank website was acting up, so I couldn’t buy any data, our local wi-fi network couldn’t be accessed either, for some unfathomable reason, so I just gave up!
Here I am now, having had my morning coffee and toast, Standard Bank is now reachable through the ether, data has been purchased, everything is back to normality.

Yesterday was the 12th of July, so guess what? Today is Friday, the 13th!

Fear of the number 13 is called Triskaidekaphobia.

Fear of Friday the 13th is called Paraskevidekatriaphobia or Friggatriskaidekaphobia. The second one, the Frigga one, is named after the Norse goddess Frigg, after whom Friday is named in English.

So, there you have it! The planets were all purposely misaligned last night, probably by Frigg or one of his or her fellow Norse henchmen, just so that I might be able to give you all that useless information.

The results!

Margaret and Diana did it with 62.88%, followed by the old guys, Ian and Roy, a scant half percent behind, then Peter and Neels. There might still be a small upward adjustment on Helen and Barbara’s score, because of an incorrect bid, that could be ruled to have prejudiced their bidding and play, but that is still being discussed, but that’s it for the Thursday that was!

Troy is still waiting for his morning walk, hovering behind me, omnipresent as usual, so I’m going to sign off on that note.
