Club championships registration

REMEMBER TO REGISTER FOR THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS ON DECEMBER 3RD 2016  ALL DAY EVENT WITH LUNCH.  ENTRY FEE R80.00 PER PERSON, R160.00 PER PAIR.  LET’S MAKE THIS A BIG ONE.

Hello all you bridge people. We had seven and a half tables today, with some of the trickiest hands imaginable. We heard complaints about terrible distribution, unfair results etc,etc. I was heard to air some of these comments as well! But, that’s what makes for interesting bridge, because we can’t just have ordinary, common or garden hands all the time, can we?
Enough of that, and congratulations to Pat and Di for a good win, with Bridie and Paul for coming second.
Please don’t forget to enter for our Pairs championship, taking place on Saturday the 3rd December. We have eight tables thus far, but are trying to get to ten. Come on, those of you who haven’t entered yet. The list is up in the hall. Enter please.

And finally, the World Bridge Federation has relented on it’s earlier decision to suspend no-trump bidding for the next four years. Donald said it was OK to rescind it.
