Good morning everyone. It’s a glorious Wednesday morning, it’s supposed to be mid-winter and cold and miserable, with everyone sniffing and shivering, all that negative stuff!

What a day! It’s great to be alive on this, a beautiful Winter’s morning on the Highveld.

Last night was just that, last night! We didn’t do very well, but neither did some of, what shall we call them, the more accomplished pairs? Hmmm? What happened last night? There were surprising tops, amazing bottoms, say no more!

Congratulations to the winners, Di and Barbara, also to Caroline and Karin for second place. And then came the rest of us, down to a somewhat nonplussed Bill and Jan in the final, unaccustomed last place. What happened guys?

Ah well, such are the vagaries of life, especially in the field of card games!
