Yes, folks, there we were, playing industriously at ten tables, furrowed brows et al, trying our best to figure it all out, within the confines of seven minutes per hand, competing all the while against opponents that were doing their level best to grind us into the Northerns dirt. Did that even come close to describing the atmosphere there yesterday? Man, it was tense, you could, only at certain times of course, hear the proverbial pin drop, because at other times, which was most of the time, the pin dropped amidst the chatter and went unheard!

I know, I know, I’m rambling on as usual, berating you lot, so here we go!

Wait for it!

There were some last minute changes that affected the final results, thereby ending in a great win for our husband and wife pair of Nisha and Devan, who thereby pipped Margaret and Barbara at the post, relegating them into second place by only one point! Bill and Roz were third.

My apologies for having to rush off early last night, because Elaine was leaving for Cape Town, and I now have my morning chore to perform, which is Troy’s walkies. Come, boy, it’s time to see what the morning has in store for us.

Last, but certainly not least, a big thank you to Caroline for standing in for Ian yesterday. It was a pleasure to play with you, as usual. Ian is back next week, so you’ll all have to watch for the Alert cards again for some of the funny bids we come up with in Precision.
