That’s correct, folks, we’ve arrived in the new year, all bright-eyed and keen to do battle. Well, tonight was no exception and battle we did! There were 4 slam hands, including a grand slam in both diamonds and NT. Exciting stuff indeed.
The evening went to that rather challenged player, Bill Wilkie and his very accomplished partner, Jan Verberck, with 63.69%, followed by Tor Meyer and Cathy Saville in second place, Ann and Diana were third.
News from the front has it that we’re looking at starting a teams event on Mondays, perhaps only once a month, but we’ll see how much interest is shown and develop it further, It will be an item for discussion at our AGM later this month, so please start talking to some friends with a view to forming a team.
