Summer in Benoni, 30 degrees or more in the shade, which is where we played our bridge today, in the comfort of our hall, with doors open, fans blowing, iced water in jugs, cold beer on tap, 11 tables of Benoni’s finest (that’s bridge players of course) engaged in cerebral exercise, what else can I say!

Before I get to the results, Deirdre has kindly offered to buy a round of drinks at our pub on Thursday, 23rd November, in memory of Alan’s passing a year ago. There will also be some snacks provided, so we look forward to your attendance at this special time for us, when we’ll be able to lift our glasses as a toast to someone who left a lasting legacy.

Barbara and Helen came in first with 68.18%, followed in second place by those two old geezers, Ian and Roy. Third went to Margaret and Deirdre, just a whisker behind.
