10 Tables ! That’s right. Well, actually nine and a half, but who’s counting. What a great turnout. I was concerned for a while, thinking we wouldn’t have enough Bridgemates!
What a pleasure that would be. I look forward to us having to buy some more and being forced to have two sections. It’s coming.

And so to the business of today.

Lisa and Mary did it in style, winning by more than 2%, with Helen and Barbara second. A very interesting result as well from the new members, Betty and Cherilyn, coming in at a very creditable 6th.

There were some nice, biddable slams and some strange distributions and all in all, a really good day for all of us bridge nuts.

We were pleased to see Di back in the fold after her surgery and the welcome return of Des and Pat Highgate after their travels.

We wish you all a good weekend, and on a local note, hold thumbs for our Lions Rugby team in their quest for a Super Rugby title.
