Five and a half tables last night. Yes, if you had been there as well, we might have had a full 6 tables, or six and a half? Anyway, it was tense, the atmosphere was heavy with concentration, brows were furrowed and some of the usual suspects came up trumps!

Yes, that really consistent pair of Di and Barbara did it with a winning margin of nearly 3%, followed by Bill and Jan in second place.

And, let us not forget, Diana celebrated her ..th, or was it her ..st, or ..nd birthday, and thank you to her for the cake and savoury snacks.

I make no apology for challenging you regarding this. Most of us don’t have youth on our side any more, but we do have our minds. We are certainly capable of absorbing new ideas and exercising our intellect by challenging the old and embracing the new. Make a resolution, together with your regular partner, to improve your bridge.
