Please take note of my announcement regarding Annette Venter not being able to continue with the Treasurer portfolio on our committee, requiring us to find a replacement as soon as possible. If you are available and are suitably computer literate, with some accountancy knowledge, please let us know if you would be willing to assist us. Whoever it turns out to be, he/she would be co-opted onto the committee.

Please remember that Lisa is running Monday afternoon sessions for beginners and people who might not have played for many years. The sessions start at 1330 and run to 1630. There is a playing fee of R25, which includes refreshments. Please advise any of your friends who might be interested, as we are very keen to build the numbers of players up and by so doing, build the membership of our club.

While the country is seething about all things political and marches are taking place and there are allegations of state capture and so on and so on, all was serene at Benoni Northerns Bridge Club. We are made of sterner stuff, able to turn all that off and concentrate on the job at hand, which is bridge. And so, the partnership of Bill and Clyde rose above the turmoil and emerged victorious! Margaret and Ann were second, with a really good third from Chic and Evelyn.
